Artists:
Stefanie Wong received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Alberta College of Art + Design, Calgary, AB in 2008. Her work inserts traditional textile processes and materials into a multi-disciplinary practice to examine our relationship with technology and its impact on intimacy and human interaction. Her latest animation, Around the Corner from Solitude has been screened across Canada in festivals to include the Reel Asian International Film Festival in Toronto, Antitube at the Musee de Civilization in Quebec City, and the Winnipeg Film Group in Winnipeg. Wong is currently living and working in Calgary, AB and finds great encouragement and inspiration from her five-year old daughter.
Keltie, a proud Edmontonian, comes from a Media Arts background (BFA[Hons], ACAD '06) with a focus on experimental animation. She has worked at the Quickdraw Animation Society in various capacities since 2004, as well as with EMMEDIA starting as a student curator for Digital Sugar Cubed. After employment in film and video, Keltie moved into arts administration and is currently the Festival Director of the biennial Mountain Standard Time Performative Art Festival.
